The Botany Boys: Blood and Blooms is still in development, and this is the beta test for the first route. Please note that even though there are buttons at the end of the demo, only Zuma's route has been finished. (It is recommended to save at the buttons screen at the end of the demo, so when the next route is released, you’ll have a save file without having to replay the demo.)

Set on the remarkably Earth-like world of Xulou, the player experiences the story through the lens of Liam, who is working with his older sister, Pearl, to raise their younger sister, Bella. The same day Pearl leaves to go on tour with her band, leaving Liam to take care of Bella, Liam finds himself kidnapped, and thrust into leading a team of misfits whose goal is trying to prevent the destruction of their world by an impending alien invasion.

Now, he needs to train with his newfound team and prepare to stop the aliens coming to use his homeworld’s core as fuel for their mothership. On this journey, he finds himself getting closer to one of his five teammates (romantic or platonic, depending on your choices), or their mentor (only platonic).

Characters:

• Liam Goldflame - The main character of the visual novel who is the leader of the group and the viewpoint of the story.
• Cameron Sharp – The unflappable and standoffish bookworm accustomed to leaving alone and being left alone in return.
• Cie Supernova – The hard to read and wildly unpredictable mentor of the Botany Boys who has seen more than her fair share of bloodshed.
• Finley Darkspire – The hothead with a heavy sense of justice who doesn’t let people hurt animals or other people in his presence.
• Oliver Hallows – The stoic but protective childhood friend of Liam who is only soft for people he knows.
• Theodore Gildedwing – The soft and kind gentle giant who treats everyone with respect and tries his hardest to be kind to everyone.
• Zuma Paleglory – The mysterious flirt who doesn’t like showing his true feelings often and typically wears an ever-shifting mask to conceal his real feelings.

Development:

Botany Boys: Blood and Blooms is still in development, with six routes planned total (five romantic or platonic and one strictly platonic), with two endings for each route. We’re on Bluesky if you want to see updates and other random shenanigans!

The game is currently rated for older teens (16+) and up, for mature language, blood, and violence.
